Émile Vernon (1872-1919) was a French fine arts painter.
He studied design at the School of Fine Arts in Tours where he won the first prize for design in 1888. He continued his studies at the Ecole Des Beaux Arts in Paris with the famed artists William Bouguereau and Auguste Trouphème.
He was specialized in watercolors and he loved to paint portraits of women and children using bright colors in cheerful rural and bucolic settings.
